Who we are

Snow Doughnut ("we", "us") publishes a marketing newsletter and documentation, and runs a marketing agency that manages advertising for clients. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It covers our websites, including docs.snowdoughnut.com, our newsletter, and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools we use to run advertising for clients. [Replace with your legal business name and country here.]

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run our services.

  • Information you give us. Your name and email address when you subscribe to the newsletter, contact us, or become a client.

  • Website usage. Standard analytics data such as pages visited, browser type, device, approximate location, and referring site, collected through cookies or similar tools.

  • Client advertising data. When a client authorizes us to manage their Meta advertising, we access their ad account, Facebook Page and campaign data as described in the Meta section below.

  • Lead information. When a client's Facebook or Instagram lead form is submitted, we may receive the details the person entered, such as name, email and phone number, so we can deliver them to that client.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Send the newsletter you subscribed to, and let you unsubscribe at any time.

  • Respond to your messages and provide services to clients.

  • Set up, manage, and report on advertising campaigns on behalf of clients.

  • Deliver lead form submissions to the client whose ad generated them.

  • Understand how our websites are used and improve them.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client or lead data for any purpose other than providing services to that client.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) data

We use Meta's Marketing API through our own Meta app to manage advertising for clients. We only access a client's data after they have granted our agency access to their ad account and Facebook Page in Meta Business Manager.

Through that access we may read and create campaigns, ad sets, ads, lead forms and reports, and retrieve lead form submissions. We use this data only to provide advertising services to that client and to report on results.

Our use of information received from Meta follows the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. A client can remove our access at any time in Meta Business Manager, after which we no longer receive their data.

Sharing, retention and security

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as email newsletter, analytics, hosting and advertising platforms, and only as needed to provide their services.

  • Our clients, who receive the lead and campaign data that belongs to their accounts.

  • Legal authorities, when required by law.

We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and client and lead data for as long as we provide services to that client or as the client instructs. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no system is completely secure.

Your rights and data deletion

Data deletion
